"Yuan Meng" was born at the Beauval Wildlife Park on August 4, 2017. He is the first giant panda born in France. His parents "Yuanzai" and "Huanhuan" arrived in France from Sichuan, China in January 2012 and settled in the zoo to start a Sino-French giant panda breeding cooperation plan.

Bovale Safari Park recently stated that the lease period of "Huanhuan" and "Yuanzai" will be extended. The twin cubs "Huanlili" and "Yuandudu" born to "Huanhuan" in 2021 are also growing up healthily here. This means that after Yuan Meng is returned to China, the zoo still has four giant pandas.
