It is called Bili, and he is a bonobo (one of two animals in the genus Chimpanzee, with a body length of 70-83 cm and a weight of 30-45 kg. It looks similar to chimpanzees, but compared to chimpanzees, they are more upright. More docile, rarely angry).
Bili was born in a zoo in the UK in 2008, but Bili’s mother seemed to hate him and he was thrown out when he was only 3 months old.
The zoo staff were very concerned about this. I don’t understand, it would be difficult for Bili to survive without his mother’s care. So it was sent to another zoo in Frankfurt.
Bili seems to have always been plagued by bad luck. Although he was cared for by a group of female chimpanzees who were very good at taking care of babies and barely survived his childhood, for some reason, he was very unpopular among the female chimpanzees. If you can't get a girlfriend, you can't reproduce the next generation. Gradually, Bili was isolated from all the local orangutans, and he had no choice but to move to the Wuppertal Zoo.
I thought the situation would improve when Bili came to Wuppertal Zoo. But contrary to expectations, it was bullied by its companions...
A pair of twin chimpanzees are the leader of the zoo. Like other orangutans, they dislike Bili and often attack him. If Bili dares to fight back, then Other orangutans will also join in to bully it.
The bullying situation is extremely serious, Bili's His ears were bitten off and his hands and feet were bleeding. Even the zoo staff said: "If this situation does not improve, Bili will be forced to euthanize."
Currently , the zoo staff hope that as time goes by, he will slowly be accepted by the orangutan community, otherwise no other zoo will be willing to accept Bili, and they will have to give him a happy life.
